ETEUATI AT THE MARAE.

At the Marae we had school there, but it was different because we had some activities like making matariki stars.
Another activity was making a necklace and putting your dreams in it so it could come true and drawing samoan patterns in the marae.
We had some play outside but it was shute do, the game that I was playing outside was soccer with my friends Fares and Tuivasa.
But before the soccer began, we made our teams but it was easy because the girls wanted to vs the boys and the boys wanted to vs the girls so it happened.
It was girls vs boys but it wasn’t a challenge because most of the girls didn't even know how to play the game.
The scores were 20 to 10 but it was a good game. After that the people that were going back to school to go home went back to school. But when they went to school it got boring because two of them were my friends.
The people who were staying stayed and went to the park. At the park we played soccer and some played basketball- some people got injured. I got injured 2 times from the same person but I was ok.
The basketball people went to basketball and lost but it was a good game, then we went back to the marae and had dinner we had lasagna and more.
Then we did our pepeha, some did it in their own language, e.g like some did it in samoan and some did it in english.
Pepeha is all about yourself and about your culture, and it represented myself and my family. So this is how I wrote my Pepeha it's just like doing an introduction in front of everyone e.g my name is Eteuati my mum is Palota & my dad is Fala and I am 10 years old and I have 5 siblings in my family and I’ am a real SAMOAN.
While we were sleeping me and Luka did not go to sleep it was fun because we followed the teachers but then in the morning we told them that we did go to sleep. When we weren't sleeping same people went to the toilet and also some of the boys took of f their t-shirts and went to the toilet and went with no clothes it was cold and cool at the same time.
In the morning we packed up our stuff to get ready to go home. After that we had breakfast we had weetbix and panikeke and more yummy food. Then my mum came to take me home to get ready to go to school . We came back to get my bag and some left already so we went to school. But on our way we saw the people that were going back to school so I bent down so I couldn't walk with them so I made it before them.
At school there was nobody so I went to the library and found Fuli there looking at the books. Then Jill came and said if we could put down the blinds and we said yes so we had a race to see who called put down the most blinds and I won, not because I bucked because I did cheat.
Then the people that were walking back to school arrived,Then we played ball rush it was fun, And I gotta run I think that I got 10 runs and 8 tags but then we played last man standing and I was the tager and I got same people but it was hard.
Then when school started the Kapahaka people went back up we practised up there and also performed to the people that were sleeping there I thought that we were good but do you think that this story is good?
My next steps are to be confident when we are performing and to step up as a leader and to not be shy. When we are performing I will not go to the back and I will not hide behind other people that are performing.
