This is my swimming Snapshot of Learning.
This is my swimming learning and I am showing this to you because
it was fun and we all got to learn how to swim safely in water.  
We need to learn how to swim and be safe because you might drown.


I want to share this with you because I learned how to be safe in
the water. We had to huddle toge09ther in a circle and wait for
someone to rescue us. We learned how to call out for help by putting
your hand up.  We also got to know how to use some skills in the water.
It is super important to learn how to swim because the sea is dangerous
and I like going to the beach where I can use my new skills.


The key competencies that I used were managing myself by staying
with my group to know what is happening. I can also relate to others by
helping them when they need help.

My next steps are to listen to the instructor because I keep
on going in the water when they are talking, and I also need
to work on putting my head up when I am swimming to get some air.

Another activity was making a necklace and putting your dreams in it so it could come true and drawing samoan patterns in the marae. Eteuati’s Maths Learning Story Term 3 2019 How do we solve a tricky math problem as a group?  Eluama’s family in Tokelau tell him to get some coconuts. He climbs three different coconut trees.  He climbed 3m up the first tree, 3.9m up the second tree and 2.2m up the third tree.  His friend climbed 3 different trees. The first one he climbed was 2.4m, the second one he climbed was 3.3m and the third one he climbed was 4.3m.  Which of them did the most climbing that day?   So first we write down the problem. Then we were comparing the first tree that Eluama climbed which was 3m and the second tree that he climbed wish was 3.9m so I added them together which = 6.9m. Eteuati's Maths Learning Story.

Uati's math learning story I was trying to find out how much milk cartons will fit inside the box - the volume. First I tried to find out the volume of the  box to see how many milk cartons can fit inside the box. First I added the length, the width and the height because it is the volume of the box, but it didn't work so I used multiplication and it = 30492 and that was the volume of the box. After that I tried to find out the volume of the milk carton by also adding it, but it also didn’t work so then I used multiply   the length and the width and the height of the milk carton and it =135. So I worked out that I had to use multiply instead of addition to find out the volume of the box and the milk carton.
