Eteuati’s Visual Arts Inquiry Learning Story
Term 3 2019
How do we communicate our ideas and opinions about an issue through visual arts?

In my inquiry we  had to find an issue that I felt strongly about. The issue that I feel strongly  about is climate change. I feel strongly about climate change because I want to live a safe life e.g the earth is drying up and the ice is melting, this will affect people and animals living on earth. The Amazon Forest is burning that is a key breathing source for us people.
I want you to know that I was good at asking questions so I can find out and understand what is happening to the climate. I was also good at researching about climate change and I found out that the Amazon Forest is burning down. 
The key competency I used well was managing myself   because I was focusing on my work and I was also thinking so I can get further on with my work.
I want you to know that I need to work on relating to others because I need to be respectful to others when they are doing their learning.  

The key competency that will help me next time is relating to others so I don’t distract them when they are doing their learning so they can get their work done.
 I want you to know that I found it hard to work by myself.

Another activity was making a necklace and putting your dreams in it so it could come true and drawing samoan patterns in the marae. W e had some play outside but it was shute do, the game that I was playing outside was soccer with my friends Fares and Tuivasa. But before the soccer began, we made our teams but it was easy because the girls wanted to vs  the boys and the boys wanted to vs the girls so it happened. Eteuati’s Maths Learning Story Term 3 2019 How do we solve a tricky math problem as a group?  Eluama’s family in Tokelau tell him to get some coconuts. He climbs three different coconut trees.  He climbed 3m up the first tree, 3.9m up the second tree and 2.2m up the third tree.  His friend climbed 3 different trees. The first one he climbed was 2.4m, the second one he climbed was 3.3m and the third one he climbed was 4.3m.  Which of them did the most climbing that day?   So first we write down the problem. Then we were comparing the first tree that Eluama climbed which was 3m and the second tree that he climbed wish was 3.9m so I added them together which = 6.9m. Eteuati's Maths Learning Story.

Uati's math learning story I was trying to find out how much milk cartons will fit inside the box - the volume. First I tried to find out the volume of the  box to see how many milk cartons can fit inside the box. First I added the length, the width and the height because it is the volume of the box, but it didn't work so I used multiplication and it = 30492 and that was the volume of the box. After that I tried to find out the volume of the milk carton by also adding it, but it also didn’t work so then I used multiply   the length and the width and the height of the milk carton and it =135. So I worked out that I had to use multiply instead of addition to find out the volume of the box and the milk carton.
